Susie Rios

Susie Rios is a paralegal with Barrington Injury Attorneys, where she supports the firm's personal injury practice. With experience assisting attorneys in both plaintiff and defense matters, Susie brings a thorough understanding of the legal process and a strong commitment to helping individuals who have suffered injuries or experienced injustice.

Susie's interest in the legal profession began in 2016, when she worked as an office manager and legal assistant for a plaintiff's employment law firm. In that role, she assisted attorneys in pursuing compensation and favorable outcomes for individuals who had been wrongfully terminated. The experience inspired her to pursue a career as a paralegal, and she earned her Paralegal Certificate from the College of DuPage in 2018 while continuing to work in the legal field.

Throughout her career, Susie has developed extensive experience supporting personal injury law firms throughout the Chicago area. She has assisted attorneys representing both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide range of cases, including medical malpractice, birth injuries, wrongful death, sexual abuse and harassment, motor vehicle accidents, trucking accidents, nursing home litigation, dog bites, and premises liability.

Susie's legal experience encompasses all stages of personal injury cases, including pre-litigation, litigation, trial, and appellate proceedings. She takes pride in supporting attorneys as they pursue favorable results for clients and finds her work especially rewarding when she can help individuals and families through difficult circumstances.

Before entering the legal profession, Susie earned an Associate of Arts degree from Moraine Valley Community College and studied Musical Theatre Performance at Columbia College Chicago. She subsequently became a professional ballroom dance instructor, earning her certification and teaching for five years before transitioning to the legal field.

In 2013, while working as a certified ballroom dance instructor with Arthur Murray Dance Studio Chicago, Susie and her student and dance partner, former Chicago Bears player Anthony Adams, won Dancing with Chicago Celebrities, a fundraising event benefiting breast cancer causes.

Outside of work, Susie enjoys watching her son discover the world. Her interests also include dancing, reading, biking, and watching documentaries.
